We have a very special episode of The Stories Collective for you today! October is National Church Planting month and we wanted to share a conversation we had with our longtime friend Kyle Powell back in May. Kyle was a Youth Pastor at Desert Springs for many years before becoming the church planter and Lead Pastor of Mission Church in January 2016. Mission Church is special to us here at Desert Springs as it was the first church we were ever a part of planting. Kyle shares his heart with us as he explains what it took to plant Mission Church and how he saw God's direction and faithfulness in that. A lot of this interview focuses on what it was like to experience covid as a church without a permanent building. Kyle gets real and talks about how he had to practice what he preached in keeping his eyes on Jesus no matter the circumstances. Despite the difficulties Kyle and his team remained faithful to the mission God had for them.
