SHIT, WHAT?  WON'T THAT MAKE ME A SELFISH ASSHOLE?  Well, short answer is no, it won't.  There is an art to being selfish and not being a dick.  You're allowed to say no to people if they ask you to do something that makes you uncomfortable.  "People pleasers" often seem to be miserable because they put everyone else's needs before their own, but if you don't put your needs first, who will?  Love yourself enough to treat yourself how you want to be treated.
