Meet Sydney Freeman Jr. (bit.ly/2H65Ejd), an associate professor in the Department of Leadership and Counseling (bit.ly/3dl3g4o) at the University of Idaho. An expert in higher education, Sydney has spent much of his career studying leadership in the university setting. He has also investigated the issues facing Black students, faculty and staff on college campuses. He’s focused on how universities can support these individuals and other minorities as well as the obstacles Black faculty face while growing their careers.

Psychology’s Clarissa Richardson found that extended periods of quarantine result in depression and fear of the coronavirus has had a negative psychological effect on people.
