In this episode we break apart what you think fasting is and explain what you need to consider in order to give your body all the benefits there are to fasting. Fasting is a wonderful modality to help you get into a parasympathetic state and it needs to be understood that fasting is much much more than just not eating or limiting your food for a few days.
Fasting is actually a complex process of resetting the body, mind and soul. Your cells, organs and tissues all need time off from the constant onslaught of nutrients that they get every day when you eat something. If you don't give them some time off then they can become overworked which leads to a breakdown of many systems within your body including your immune system, digestive system, hormonal systems, etc.
