On Friday, the Atlanta Braves will host a parade to celebrate their World Series championship. One of the guys on LDR correctly predicted the Braves would win the World Series in six games, but how they got there was far from predictable.
How did the Braves’ mid-season additions pay such enormous dividends? How did they overcome the loss of their Game 1 starter and still have the better pitching staff in the series? And where do they go from here?
And, on the other end of the scene, the Astros now head into a winter with Carlos Correa heading to free agency. If he, like George Springer last year, leaves for big money elsewhere, this could signal a turning point in the history of the Astros organization. What will be the legacy of this core group of Astros?
The guys also paid tribute to a future Hall of Famer who called it a career this week, Giants catcher Buster Posey. He’ll be on the ballot for the National Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2027, and should have enough writers checking the box for him to be in Cooperstown in five years.
