Revelations 3:30

The painting "The Light of the World" by William Holman Hunt depicts Jesus standing at an overgrown door with a lamp in his hand knocking as if to be let in. The door has no handle it can only be open from within. May this work of art and this devotion today remind us that Jesus is seeking an open door to our hearts. He is the light of the world and He is the way to a truly fulfilled life. May we not harden our hearts today but take him up on His invitation. May we open the door and recieve His light!
