Episode 33: Houdini! The Man, His Life and Legend Part 2: The Superstar

INTERVIEW BEGINS AT 9:45

Welcome to part 2 of our look at the life, career and legend of the great Harry Houdini. Tonight we get into where Houdini goes from dime museum/sideshow magician to international star. Houdini was not only a master escape artist and illusionist, but a master of media manipulation and self promotion. His rise to fame was not only brought about due to his skill but also his genius at sensationalism.

Not many people's names become verbs... Houdini made this happen, and it is possibly his greatest trick.

We are joined once again by John Cox of www.wildabouthoudini.com Houdini scholar and life long fan of the master. We strip away some of the legend, to expose the truth, which is, in reality, even more fascinating and impressive than the lore....  Enjoy
