Tim invites Principal Workplace Relations Consultant, Richard Corboy to discuss the progress of the Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Agreement. Since the podcast was recorded, the Government has approved the draft new agreement on the 22nd August and the Commission has approved the Single Interest Employers application on the 29th August 2017. Now that approval has occurred, the agreement process will commence, making sure the document is correct, and that supporting documents and voting material will be provided to members. Main changes in the agreement relate to: workload and replacing staff; adoption of the Nurses public holiday clause which enables a fifth week of annual leave in exchange for less public holidays; new roster protocols; and the upgrading of clinical supervision requirements for psychologists.
