EPISODE 33: Work-Life-Balance?

In this week’s episode, we discuss the concept of work-life-balance - does it exist? Is it the same for everyone? Does it look different from person-to-person? I think it’s important that we understand that we all operate in very different ways which will then reflect how we choose to live our lives each day, week, month, and year. 


I have unfortunately experienced burnout on multiple occasions and truthfully, it’s not something I’m proud of at all because it’s the opposite of what I share with my athletes, team, and community. That said, as a solo-entrepreneur, sometimes it is inevitable because everything is riding on you. I wanted to share some of my personal experiences with “work-life-balance”, and shed some light on things I’ve learned about the concept and some strategies I use to ensure I’m doing what I can to fill my own cup as I do for others. 


I think everyone has their own version of WLB and it’s important to understand that everyone has different priorities which will reflect what they make time and space for in their daily lives. I don’t believe there’s one right way - as with most things in S&C … it depends on a lot of different factors.
