When VENOM captured the attention of superhero film fans in 2018, it wasn't exactly a standout movie by traditional standards. However, Kelly Marcel's directorial debut proves to be quite compelling, particularly in the moments where the narrative breaks free from conventional storytelling. The dynamic between the alien symbiote and former journalist Eddie Brock, who have been coexisting for a year, often resembles that of a long-married couple filled with bickering and discontent. Complicating matters, an alien invasion threatens the symbiote's existence.
