Let There Be Music: LIFE LESSONS FROM THE SONGS OF THE PSALMS Book of Devotionals and Short Bible Lessons Volume 3 of 3 by Pat Mann
The lessons and devotionals printed herein are always intended to teach a biblical principle and a life lesson, show a path to righteous living, or give a warning before taking a wrong turn in life. The Bible as a whole contains principles and guidelines regarding every issue a person can possibly face in a lifetime, including relationships, financial management, emotional highs and lows, attitudes, authority, truth, integrity, fear, pride, temptations, possessions, repentance, and all spiritual insights, to name a few. Many of these issues are presented in the chapters of Psalms. Every effort is taken to apply the principles found in the Psalms to everyday life situations so that you may become spiritually strong as you face life's complexities at every stage of your life.
May these songs from Psalms encourage, inspire, bless, and challenge you every day of your life. Let there be music in your heart toward God.
Pat Mann has been involved in Christian education since her youth. After receiving Christ at a young age, she has served in many teaching positions in her church and has served in her denomination on area, state, and national levels as a consultant for Women’s Missionary Union. In local churches, she has served as a Sunday School teacher for every age level at various times. She served in a local church as Education Director for several years. She served as chaplain for the Good Samaritan Society Care Home for ten years, and since retirement from there, she continues to serve that facility as a volunteer, performing chapel services, piano music, and leading group Bible lessons. She is president of the Good Samaritan Auxiliary
Pat currently ministers as a Bible study leader in the local county jail, having served for thirty-plus years. She speaks of this ministry as her “calling.” Pat serves in local churches in her community as a Sunday School teacher and as a substitute speaker in the absence of the pastor when called upon. She occasionally leads in-home Bible study groups. She also writes Bible-based articles for the local newspaper when requested. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a minor in Speech. She loves to write and is happiest when she is teaching a Bible study class. Her husband of sixty years is a retired school-teacher, having taught grade school students for forty-two years. They enjoy traveling with a travel group based in their area, having seen many wonderful sights and participated in unusual events across the United States and Canada. They enjoy all things of nature.
