Back in the 1500’s, a guy named Martin Luther got pretty upset at the Catholic Church for selling indulgences – a piece of paper that, for a price, got you or a loved one in to heaven. Five hundred years later, it looks like indulgences are getting repackaged by a new type of church. The Prosperity Gospel movement has been gathering steam and now a prominent pastor has the ear of the President. How should Christians respond to this teaching and what does it mean for our faith today?
