🎙️ Crumb Confessional — Episode 33o2
Title: Catching Rats with Fishing Poles
Description:
It’s 11PM and I’m driving home after a full night serving on the streets with Love City Church. I’m wiped. The young bucks and old vets are still going hard, but I’m tapped out. One of the highlights—if you can call it that—was meeting a man fishing for rats with a pole and smacking them on the concrete. Not to cook—just to eliminate them. The camps seemed fuller than last time. Weed, alcohol, brokenness, but also a lot of kindness. I’m grateful to be back out here. Catholic and Protestant, teaming up for something real.
I talk about:
đź’ˇ Highlights & Timestamps:
00:00 – “I’m wearing out my friends… I’m going home”
01:20 – “He said he fished for rats and smacked them against the concrete”
03:00 – “Old spots that were empty are now filled again”
04:45 – “You can kind of tell how the economy’s doing by the number of camps”
06:10 – “Catholics and Protestants teaming up—it’s a beautiful thing”
🧠Core Takeaway:
Sometimes what you witness in the streets stays with you for days—and that’s the point.
🙏 Closing Line:
Crumb Confessional #33o2 — The old Catholics and Protestants teaming up. It’s a beautiful thing. Signing off.
