Glenbarr Homestead sits nestled in the Adelaide Hills on the outskirts of a lovely town called Strathalbyn.  It was built in 1842 by a Scottish gentleman called William Rankine.  Glenbarr quickly became a centre for gatherings and remains so today.  The Rankine family continued to live in Glenbarr for around 80 years.  During this time, many family members were born, lived and occasionally died in the home.
