Without support groups or understanding in the field of traditional medicine, Kim felt isolated and unable to communicate. In this episode, she shares how she overcame the negative effects of this experience and became an advocate for brain injury survivors. Kim talks about the importance of peer-to-peer support and what she would like to see change in the traditional medical model for treating brain injuries.
