What if it was possible to manifest your chosen role or new business venture instead of operating by default? 

I was so honored to speak with the beautiful and driven Samantha (Sammy) Giarratano on the podcast this week! Sammy has worked in the corporate fashion industry for 13 years and is ready to make the leap by pivoting to a more creative path. She expressed that she wants to learn to listen to herself more so she can take risks and overcome imposter syndrome to manifest a new career.

Sammy’s career journey began at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology), where she reached her “creative glass ceiling,” but quickly realized that the creative freedom she felt didn't translate to the corporate production environment of fashion design. She noticed a significant shift in corporate culture after COVID that left her stuck in a cycle of feeling trapped, unable to build her own schedule or exercise her creativity in a way that lights her up. Sammy has realized that her true creative freedom has come from building branding projects on the side. She loves everything about developing a brand, giving it a look, feel, color story, and mood board to bring it to life. She also loves fitness and is a dedicated runner, and would love to transition her career into Brand Strategy and/or the fitness spaces.

Sammy and I explore: 

• How "shooting your shot" with new networking connections (like using LinkedIn voice memos) can propel your career forward and offer new opportunities.
• Why Imposter Syndrome and the fear of losing your professional identity are the biggest mental blocks to pivoting, and how to push past the fear of failure.
• Why fear of failure can keep you in the same unwanted career cycle and how reframing setbacks as soul-guided redirection can bring you closer to what you do want.
• That corporate roles rely so heavily on the left, logical brain and why reconnecting with your right, creative brain is so important for intuitive guidance.
• Why your intuition is your GPS in life and career that can attract people, money, and opportunities into your life when you need them.
• How spending 40+ hours in a corporate bubble can drain your energy and cause you to assimilate to a false identity.
• Why manifesting and writing down your perfect life and career scenario will get you to your chosen life and career quicker than fitting yourself into a company's box.
• That actively choosing to be the creator and visionary of your life and career can prevent you from being shoehorned into a life that never fit to begin with.
