Episode 34 - Rachel Schultz: A multi-lingual ESL teacher on getting excited by grammar, working in clubs in Japan, and beach houses in Adelaide.

About Rachel, by Rachel:
I have been teaching English for over 25 years now, first starting out teaching English in Japan after I graduated from university. I really know what it is like to learn a foreign language ( I had to learn to use Japanese to communicate every day while I lived over there ) which I think is very important as a language teacher because I can understand how my students feel. It’s not easy! I have taught English in Australia for about 20 years to many different students from all over the world which I absolutely love. I have also taught Japanese to Australian students.

I am a teacher trainer which means I have taught the Certificate IV in TESOL, teaching and training people to become English teachers. I have worked as an academic manager for about 8 years , which involves managing, training and supporting teachers as well as academic counselling for students and overseeing classes .
I love teaching all levels of English from elementary classes to advanced exam preparation classes.
I am very experienced in teaching TOEIC and Cambridge Exam preparation courses (PET , FCE, and CAE).
I also teach IELTS and proofread and edit essays or any written text.
I think online teaching and learning is fantastic as I can teach people from all over the world and I’m looking forward to meeting you!
