Four words change everything. “So Abram went.” God said go. Abram went. No argument, no negotiation, no five-year plan. Just obedience. This is faith with feet. At seventy-five years old, Abram packs up his household and walks into the unknown. He arrives in Canaan, and God appears—the first time Scripture says the Lord “appeared” to anyone—and promises the land to his offspring. Abram builds an altar at Shechem, another at Bethel. Wherever he goes, worship marks the journey. “At that time the Canaanites were in the land.” Abram owns nothing. He’s a tent-dweller in someone else’s territory. Faith lives in tents.
