In this week’s episode, we’re talking about the importance of the COACH part of the title. This is something I’m VERY intentional about with TRAINING2XL because I take the role and responsibility of a coach very seriously (as all coaches should).
I am very particular when it comes to my title (strength & conditioning coach vs personal trainer) for a couple different reasons and that is what I dive into in this episode. I share why it’s important to me to hold this title, and I also share some experiences I’ve had playing for different coaches in my athletic career and how some of their words and actions have impacted me in both positive and negative ways.
As with most topics on CHALK TALK, this isn’t revolutionary but I do think it’s something worth discussing to acknowledge how impactful it is to be in a position to guide and lead others. If you are a coach or an athlete on the receiving end of coaching, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section, or feel free to share them via email to [email protected].
If you are a coach looking for some support and guidance yourself in your role, I have spots open for 1:1 Mentorship, so check it out and let’s chat!
