In this episode we will look at what obedience God requires.  Starting in the OT, we will first look at what God says regarding the obedience required from Abraham.  The obedience required is consistent with what God states to Israel when He brings them out of Egypt.  This same statement is used in Jeremiah regarding what God has always required and is consistent with the Episode on the book of Jeremiah when we discuss the new covenant in Christ that was prophesied in Jeremiah and repeated in the book of Hebrews.  Reviewing the example of Saul we see God viewed Saul's failure to obey the voice of God as same as the sin of divination, iniquity, and idolatry.  Passages covered:  Genesis ch 17:1-2, 22:1,15-18, 26:3-5; Exodus 19:5-6, 23:20-22; Deuteronomy 6:1-5, 24-25; 11:13-20; 15:4-5; 21:18-21; 28:1-2/15/45-47; 30:8-20; Judges 3:4; Psalm 81:11-16; Isaiah ch 1:1-20, 42:18-25; 50:5-7/10-11; Jeremiah ch 7, 8, 9:13-16; Nehemiah 9:26-30
