Media coverage is always important for missing person cases. Gabby Petito's body was recovered thanks to the public attention on the case. However, what about the missing people cases where there's almost zero media coverage? Did you know there have been 710 first nations' persons declared missing between 2000 and 2020? In this week's episode, G&G talk through the terrifying statistics and the confusing jurisdiction that affects cases like these. We cover two cases. Firstly, Jade Wagon (Cedar Tree Stands Alone) and Jocelyn Watt (Yellow Bird Woman). It's due to their mother's determination that the case is in the public eye. The second case is about Dawn Day and Jeff Day and the injustice their family have experienced after the deaths of the siblings.
