In this episode of I interview Nate Barger, a multi-millionaire real estate investor who has an incredible story to tell on how he came from a humbling childhood to now a very wealthy lifestyle. Nate uses the Buy Rehab Rent Refinance and Repeat (BRRRR) method to build his wealth and he took the time to breakdown what he's looking for in properties along with some do's and don'ts. Nate's bio is a testament to this motivation: My name is Nate Barger, and I am a real estate investor with 16 years of experience. Today, I am 45 years old and live a great life. This was not always the case. I grew up in a normal, blue-collar, alcoholic family that led to military school at the age of 13.Here, I would reunite with my brother and expand my criminal network. I got out in 1990 at the height of the crack epidemic and found my neighborhood infested with drugs. For the next seven years, I was in and out of prison with four felonies, which made it impossible to get a job. I met someone in prison that connected me to a weed wholesaler and would go on to sell tons of weed. At 29 years old, I felt empty even though I had millions of dollars. I cried out to God and he guided me to real estate. I have been very fortunate in my life and I have spent the past year coming up with creative ways to give back. My partners and I are finishing up a PPM to raise fifty million dollars in 2021 for distressed hotels. I have flipped over 3500 units and am holding over 1500 at the moment. Currently, I manage a Facebook page called “BRRRR Invest” with over 55,000 members and approximately 2,000 new members each week. I share my story to show you how I was able to go beyond buying single-family homes and purchase hotels. My story is a testament that anything is possible, and I would like to spread a message of hope.
