We start out this week’s Check in with a story from Edward about boundaries. Edward tells us about backsliding with his boundaries with his mother. He made a commitment with no regard to his personal needs. He was able to go back and healthily set a boundary with his mother, choosing himself over the drama and the enmeshment.

The Deep Dive this week revolves around the use of algorithms in our society. As we become more and more dependent on our electronics and technology, we find ourselves in an ever deepening spiral of being told what to think. So too we find ourselves having our psychology manipulate our behavior. How do we live in this world while being mindful of what is being fed to us through these algorithms? This is the question that we discuss.

As Christmas is around the corner, our Off The Rails portion delves into the winter celebrations around the world that may or may not reflect the ones in the United States. We take a funny look into the cultures that brought us Krampus and a poop log.
