It's cult time y'all... Heaven’s Gate, also known as the “UFO Cult” (or the “Bad Haircut Cult” is how it should be known) was a small, but widely-known cult, that was started in the early 70’s by not 1, but 2 leaders - Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles, or “The Two”. While their beliefs seemed to evolve over time, they ultimately believed that God was actually an alien, and that Jesus would return in a spaceship to take them home.
