The story begins with a striking map of Middle-earth, accompanied by a powerful narration that reminds viewers of The Fellowship of the Ring. This time, it’s Miranda Otto who narrates as Éowyn, a beloved character from The Two Towers. She introduces Héra, the determined daughter of Helm Hammerhand, the king of Rohan. Héra’s characteristics and background are quite similar to Éowyn’s. The narrator shares, “The girl could ride a horse before she could walk.” As the tale unfolds, a council is called, where Freca, a local lord with designs on Helm’s throne, boldly proposes his son Wulf as a suitable husband for Héra.
