Sarah J. Carter is an author and poet from Norfolk,
Virginia. Even In The Grief is her debut poetry collection and was ranked a top ten
Amazon bestseller in grief poetry. She’s been a featured poet at
Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C. and her poetry focuses on grief, healing,
mental health and love. Sarah was a student editor for the Appalachian Review
while earning a B.A. in English at Berea College. She also holds a Master’s in
Conflict Resolution from George Mason University. Sarah currently splits
her time between New York City and Washington, D.C.
