This week we learn about a fantastic avenue of fun and fandom both of us had no idea about. We are joined by Jen Kooken of “The Leijorettes” and Derek Gorsuch from “The International Krewe Of Chewbacchus”.
The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus (IKoC) is a Mardi Gras parade organization for revelrous Star Wars freaks, Trekkies, Whovians, mega-geeks, gamers, cosplayers, circuit benders, cryptozoologists, UFO conspiracy theorists, mad scientists, and all super nerds. The Leijoettes are a marching group in the Krewe of Chewbacchus honoring Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. All women, men, and children are welcome, though membership in Krewe of Chewbaccus is required.
