On this episode we put on our aprons and head into the kitchen with Jon Hall and Twyla Campbell to cook up a storm and chat about their new book Maps, Markets and Matzo Ball Soup: The inspiring life of Chef Gail Hall.
Chef Hall was a prolific community member who touched many people’s lives over the years through her work as a writer, media personality and as a cook. She passed away after living with breast cancer in 2016, and in this episode we remember Gail’s legacy through her food.
Twyla Campbell has been writing about food, wine, cocktails and travel for 14 years and is CBC Edmonton Radio’s long-standing restaurant reviewer. She is a seasoned traveller, an adventurous eater, an oenophile and member of Slow Food.
Her book, Maps, Markets and Matzo Ball Soup: the inspiring life of Chef Gail Hall was released in October 2018 and debuted at No. 1 on the Book Publisher Association of Alberta’s Best Seller Nonfiction list.
