Rugby tours used to mean something. Heading to an opposing hemisphere before engaging in a nonstop, action packed expedition through the best that a country had to offer in rugby terms (once you had adjusted to being upside down). Now a rugby tour is two games. Thankfully, when it comes to Ireland versus South Africa, two games is more than enough to get our fill of bruising rugby action. We preview number one in the world playing number two in the world in what is definitely not a 'friendly' series.
Hurling semi-finals are upon us this weekend, and if the last few years are anything to go off, the semis are normally a better spectacle than the final. Cork vs Limerick and Clare vs Kilkenny both have the potential to be cracking games, with plenty of bad blood and revenge to be got on all sides.
Lastly, don your crispest whites as we head to SW19 to continue the summer of sport. Wimbledon got under way this week and it looks to usher in a new age of tennis stars, with no Williams sisters or Nadal playing this year.
