Their tenacity in weeding through millions of unread letters to make sure soldiers got letters from loved ones highlights how important they were to preserve soldiers' morale during the conflict. This story is a potent reminder of the strength of perseverance and solidarity in the face of overwhelming adversity. The film's basic message is still powerful even though some critics have pointed out areas for improvement, such as the dialogue and production quality.
