Episode 365: Review of Companion: ‘A Nasty Bit of Fun’

Listen Later

I had no preconceived notions going into this film, and I was pleasantly pleased the entire time. I was unaware of the original premise of the film. From the start, I admired the use of dramatic irony. You knew what was going to happen from the beginning, but you were always left wondering how. Every storyline twist had me wondering what would happen next and how we would arrive at the predetermined conclusion that was shown to us right away. The way the characters were occasionally introduced into flashbacks felt natural and let us, the audience, relate to them. Last but not least, Sophie Thatcher deserves praise for her superb acting.
