Dan cracks the second from the Green City box, Other Half’s Fabulous Falls, a hazy IPA with El Dorado, Motueka, Nectaron and Nectaron Cryo.
STYLE: Double Dry-Hopped American Hazy IPA
INGREDIENTS: Hand-selected El Dorado, Motueka, Nectaron and Nectaron Cryo
ABV: 6.8%
IBU: N/A
AVAILABILITY: 16 oz. cans/Draft (Limited, Green City Box)
Stats above taken from the brewery’s can and website.
Mid-yellow and hazy, looking like pineapple juice in color with a white head.
Pineapple led off with nectarine following and a hint of passionfruit and guanabana nectar.
Tropicality with the other previous notes for sure, imparting an almost piña colada-like note.
Smooth and creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation glide this across your palate.
This hop blend really hit me right when I tasted it. Pairing-wise I was feeling teriyaki wings or similar Asian-inspired flavors like skewers or yakitori or even some Spam-based dishes. Some pizza would be fun with this as well.
Cheers and remember:
Life’s a tap…drink up ’til it’s dry.
