Back in 2001 the world learned of a most horrific murder that took place in a small German village in the area of Rotenberg. It was a consensual murder / suicide between two adult men, lovers that both lived out a fantasy to kill and be killed. Their names are Armin Meiwes and Bernd Brandes, both educated engineers with very twisted fantasies. But homicide was just the tip of the iceberg. This true crime story is one of the most outrageous events in German criminal history and perhaps global criminal history for it's sheer sinister and macabre punchline.
