Fremont is the home to a large population of various people groups from around the world. Perhaps one of the largest overlooked groups in our community is the deaf community. Fremont is one of two cities in California that has a School for the Deaf, and because of that, there is a significant residual community of deaf people living among us.
A people group closely attached to the deaf community are the CODA (children of deaf adults). In this episode, I sit down with Ashley and Dane, who have both grown up in our community and who are children of deaf adults. The conversation in stimulating and insightful.
Ashley and Dane also talk about the Stage 1 theater show that they are in, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. You can find out more about that show here.
