Renew means to make like new to restore to freshness

 

 

I don’t know about you but there is so much of me that needs renewing.

 

Think about an old piece of furniture and how in the hands of the right person they can restore that thing to freshness…sometimes it takes on a new purpose an other times you just get 100 more years out of it. Renewing is something that must take place in order for us to live out this life on earth…

 

 

 

So what does scripture say can be renewed.

 

Our Hearts |  Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Cor 4:16

 

Our Minds  | Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.  Romans 12:2

 

Our Spirit | Create in me a pure heart, O God,

and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me from your presence

or take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation

and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalms 51:10-12

 

So how is it that we are renewed?

 

It is in Christ Presence that we find this renewal. It is in relationship with Him

 

It is in His word…it is in praising God

 

It is in a walk

 

It is in rest
