As we reflect on our lives, especially at year's end, we must ask ourselves: would our joy remain if everything we're clinging to disappeared tomorrow? The settled joy of a redeemed life transcends circumstances because it's rooted in the unchanging character of God, not in the fleeting pleasures we manipulate into existence.
