This week on the podcast is guest Jesse Crosson. Jesse was convicted and sentenced to 32 years in prison right after his 18th birthday for a robbery and shooting. On 16th Aug 2021 after 19 years of being locked up, he was conditionally pardoned by the Governor and released! Since then has put in some serious work giving back to the community. He does pods, talks to those still imprisoned and troubled youth. Became a Tik Tok star and started a not for profit business "Second Chancer" where he helps those we are getting out with a smoother transition back into regular society by providing support and resources.
We talk about what led him down the path that put him behind bars, how he survived the struggles while locked up and we cover all of the great work he's done and doing. I admit to him my view of people who had been incarcerated and how I was wrong in my beliefs. It is an eye opening talk about the criminal justice system and also some touching stories of inmates looking out and caring for one another.
