Kristin was pregnant with their son, Ethan, when they were told Ethan had a condition that was incompatible with life, and he would not survive. They chose to continue the pregnancy, despite the challenges.

Ethan lived 93 minutes before he passed away. Kristin and Chris have no regrets, and are grateful for the time they got with him. The geneticists found he had full Trisomy 9; a condition so rare their doctors had never heard of a baby impacted by it being born alive.
