With vaccines against the coronavirus being approved, we may face some challenges from vaccine hesitancy and also from anti-vaccine advocates. This could delay our ability to achieve herd immunity to stop the COVID-19 pandemic. We discuss the history of vaccines and some of the past incidences that have contributed to vaccine hesitancy.
