Speaking of building legacies and legacy planning, I recently had a call with a potential client, and it got me thinking about people who have, or who are looking to have a legacy plan in place that includes a trust. Although a trust can be a great tool to incorporate in your planning, and can help keep your family out of court (probate), they can only be effective if set up correctly.   

So tonight I'm going to be talking about what a trust is and how it can be an effective vehicle in legacy planning, what a trustee, successor, beneficiary, and pour-over will is, and why it's not only important to have a plan in place, but to ensure it's done correctly- no DIY!!! Remember, you won't know if something goes wrong until it's too late!
