Mike Tracey is the former East Hampton Village Police Chief and has served the local community for over 40 years. Retiring in 2023, Mike brings us decades of local knowledge and experience. A man of creative spirit and out of the box ideas, Mike transformed the way the East Hampton Village police force hires and operates.

A staunch critic of the current civil service exam, Mike shares his insight on where programs in New York should be heading in terms of hiring and policing communities. Since his retirement, Mike has taken up farming and has purchased a local plot of land across from the East Hampton Town Hall. "Sleeping Bee Flowers" was born and is where he and his wife MaryAnn will grow and cut flowers for sale.
