I love all Japanese ghost stories! They are so much scarier than western european stories!

Patrick Lafcadio Hearn - was born in Greece, raised in Dublin and moved to Japan and became a Japanese citizen changing his name to Koizumi Yakumo. He became fluent in the language and this story comes from his book Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things.
