As a born-and-raised citizen of Prince George, Rob has a deep understanding of this region and its strengths. During his 23-year tenure with UNBC and six years with the City of Prince George, van Adrichem has helped to raise the profile of both UNBC and the community to an international level, while developing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the province and country with many of the City's key partners.

Rob's experiences, education, and values have exposed him to the complex issues related to the sustainable development of northern, rural, and resource-dependent communities, shaping his interests in the bioeconomy, local leadership, and the aspirations of indigenous communities.
