Skylar is a fatherless daughter. Her dad, Kenny, died of cancer when she was 11 years old. She found dieting as a way to numb her feelings, and now recognizes that her eating disorder was part of her grieving. Today, Skylar practices intuitive eating, which has helped her learn how to tolerate her feelings.
