Our story this week takes us all the way to the former province of Gévaudan in France. Between 1764-1767 people in this area were terrorized by a man-eating creature we now know as The Beast of Gévaudan. It seemed to prefer attacking peasants who already lived very harsh lives and it had a preference for women and children, although it was happy to try and kill anyone that dared cross its path.
