These are the kinds of coincidences that only O. Henry could describe, yet they occur. Mostly a black, lower-class community. Because the two stars are so likable, I somehow took everything in stride. There are plenty of sequences that make you laugh out loud, and the entire ensemble of characters is excellent. I use how often I check my watch to judge a movie, and that only occurred twice in this instance. I became enmeshed in their drawbacks. I had faith that everything would turn out okay in the end, as it usually did in O Henry's stories. People who happened to stroll in at the appropriate time and such surprises worked wonderfully here.
