In this, the first episode of 2022, I discuss the meaning of wilderness with Bill Murphy who initiated the Wild Nephin Wilderness project in 2010. We also talk about how wilderness is perceived by different cultures around the world, with particular reference to Europe and here in Ireland where the Nephin range in County Mayo is probably the best example on our shores.
