We start this week's show by addressing the backlash to the Steve Nash hire by the Brooklyn Nets.

Although Nash cut to the front of the line, we contextualize the hire within the power structure of the NBA — Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving had the power as superstars to choose who they wanted as head coach, and they picked Nash. We broaden the conversation to discuss recent studies measuring the role of race in head coaching hirings and tenures, including the updated Rooney Rule in the NFL.
