Coach Brickner delays his podcast with NAIA Hall of Fame Coach Larry Holley one week in order to spend one episode talking about Coach Chic Downing the teammate, the coach, the friend. Chic passed away February 22.

Chic was an unbelievable athlete (High School & College Basketball All-American) and a Hall of Fame high school basketball coach. He acted as Coach Brickner's assistant coach for Coach B's first two years at Benedictine and helped change the direction of Raven basketball. In this episode Dr. B talks about:

• his relationship with Chic over the years and how their friendship grew
• Sharing a number of stories that probably only he and Chic knew about
• honoring his longtime friend and fellow coach emphasizing that there was much more to Chic than his record of accomplishments

Chic Downing was an amazing person who touched many lives. He is a Kansas legend, and will be missed by many. May God bless his soul.
