Parenting will always have its challenging moments. Many of us inherit our parenting styles based on how we were raised when we were kids. All our wounds as grown-ups trace back to when we were children. Unless we take the time to heal those wounds, we will untimely find ourselves parenting from our own wounds.
Raising our own level of self-awareness helps ensure that what we give to our children is a little more sweet, loving, and beautiful. Recognizing it as a circular relationship between parent and child and one where it's mutual learning. Seeing our kids as the "awakeners" and being open to the idea that parenting is a process and one where we have an opportunity to engage in new ways of being parents. This is the process that is not just in a parent-to-child perspective but is a mutual advancement.
In this episode, we are joined by Stefanie Tocco and Ariane De Bonvoisin, both parents and advocates of learning different parenting strategies to encourage children and parents to grow together.
